Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This policy explains how 4TECHLoverz handles information when you read articles, explore products, use buying guides, comment or contact us. It covers this website; our separate apps have their own privacy policies.

For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected]. You do not need a 4TECHLoverz account to read the site or use its buying guides.

What happens when you use the site

  • Reading and browsing: your browser requests pages, images, fonts and other files. Our hosting and delivery provider, Cloudflare, may process technical information such as IP address, request time, browser information and requested URLs to deliver and protect the site.
  • Saved choices: saved products and guides, buying-guide progress and checklists, appearance settings and reading preferences are stored in your browser. They are not a 4TECHLoverz account or a cloud backup, and they do not automatically sync between devices.
  • Shareable links: guide and catalog URLs can contain selections such as your budget, use preferences, filters or selected product. These URLs may appear in browser history, hosting request logs, and any message or service where you share the link. Avoid including confidential information.
  • Article search: search uses a downloaded index in your browser. The browser still requests the index files needed to run search.
  • Messages: if you email us, we receive your address, message and any information or attachments you choose to include.

Browser storage and your choices

Local storage remembers the choices above between visits. It normally stays until you clear it, your browser removes it or a feature changes its stored format. Someone using the same browser profile may be able to see those choices. Private browsing and blocked storage may prevent saving.

You can clear this site's saved data through your browser's site-data or privacy settings for 4techloverz.com. This resets saved items, guide progress, checklists and preferences on that browser. Clear browser history separately to remove visited guide URLs. Previously shared links, copied prompts, messages and third-party comments are not deleted by clearing site data.

Browser storage is different from cookies. Hosting security services and embedded third-party services may use their own cookies or storage. Your browser lets you block or clear these; some embedded features may then stop working.

Buying guides, Leo and external AI assistants

Leo is our fictional guide persona. The on-site buying flow prepares a brief from your selections; it does not run a private conversation with an AI provider on our servers.

Copying a prompt puts it on your device's clipboard. Opening ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini takes you to that provider. The current handoff does not automatically submit your buying brief: you decide whether to paste and send it. Once you do, that provider's privacy policy and account settings apply. Do not paste information you do not want that provider to receive. A device or clipboard service you use may also sync copied text.

Comments and embedded content

Comments are provided through giscus and GitHub Discussions. Loading the comment area connects to those services. Signing in, commenting or reacting uses your GitHub account and permissions. Comments, your public profile details and reactions may be visible publicly on this site and GitHub. Avoid posting contact details or other private information. Manage your comments through GitHub, or contact us for help with content we moderate.

Embedded videos and other third-party content connect to the relevant provider when loaded. Providers may receive technical request information and use cookies or storage under their own policies. Some embeds may load before you play the video. We do not control advertising shown inside a third-party video.

Read the relevant provider policies: giscus privacy policy, GitHub privacy statement and Google/YouTube privacy policy.

Corrections and business enquiries

The correction form prepares text in your browser. It does not submit the report to us or create a support ticket. We receive it only if you send the prepared email or contact us another way. Please leave out passwords, payment details, order numbers and unnecessary personal information.

We use correction reports, privacy requests and business or PR emails to respond, check the issue, manage the conversation and, where relevant, discuss a collaboration. Email is handled through our email provider. A business enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to a mailing list or make your message public.

Advertising, shopping links and service providers

This redesigned version of the website does not include our former AdSense placements. Embedded providers and sites you visit through external links may display their own advertising. Shopping links may be affiliate links; the retailer or affiliate service may record referrals when you follow them. See our commercial disclosure policy.

Our service providers process information needed for their services. Cloudflare provides hosting, delivery and security; our email provider handles messages; GitHub and giscus provide comments. Providers may process data outside India. Their retention and international-transfer arrangements are described in their policies, including Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Why information is used and how long it stays

Information is used to deliver and protect the site, remember choices you make, respond to requests and maintain relevant business records. Messages are kept for as long as needed for the enquiry or relationship and any applicable record-keeping, legal or dispute requirements. Public comments remain subject to GitHub's controls. Browser data remains under your browser's controls. Provider logs and backups follow the relevant provider's settings and retention arrangements.

Information may be shared with providers needed to carry out these purposes, where you ask us to share it, or where required by law. This policy does not authorize unrelated use of the information you send us.

Your requests and privacy concerns

Email [email protected] to ask about information we hold about you, request correction or deletion, withdraw a permission you gave us, or raise a privacy concern. Include enough context to locate the relevant message or comment; do not send identity documents unless a proportionate verification step is needed and agreed.

We will consider requests under the law that applies to the information and explain any limits, such as legal record retention or data controlled by another provider. We cannot remotely clear storage on your device or erase copies held independently by other people. You may also use the complaint or regulatory channels available under applicable law.

Children and security

We do not offer child accounts or ask children to submit personal information. If you are under 18, involve a parent or guardian before sending personal information or using external account-based services, and follow those services' age rules. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent us personal information can contact us to request review and appropriate removal.

No website, email service or storage system can promise absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information through comments, guide URLs or ordinary email. If a security incident affects personal information we handle, we will take the steps required by applicable law.

Changes and related information

We will update this page and its date when our practices change. Where an additional notice, permission or consent is required, we will provide it. Reading this policy does not itself give consent to every kind of data processing.
